Downtown South Lyon hosts a number of annual events, including Pumpkinfest, the city’s largest annual festival typically held on the last weekend in September.

 

Residents enjoy the small-town feel of South Lyon, with the convenience of nearby highways connecting them to major airports and metropolitan areas, including Ann Arbor and Detroit. The city was originally established as an agricultural center and incorporated as a city in 1830.
